About these terms

This website is published by Trading Trust Index (“we”, “us”), based in Cyprus. These terms apply whenever you use it. By using it you agree to them, to our disclaimer and risk disclosure, and to the way we handle personal data described in our privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who may use the site

The site is for general information and is meant for adults. You must be at least 18 to send us anything through our forms. You are responsible for making sure that using the site, and any firm you read about, is lawful where you live.

Information, not advice

Our profiles, trust assessments, reports and articles are research and opinion, not investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and not a recommendation to open an account with any firm or to trade. Using the site does not create a client, advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and us. Our disclaimer explains what an assessment is and is not, and the risks of trading leveraged products.

Our content and your use of it

The text, assessments, scores, data, methodology, design, badges and the Trading Trust Index name and logo on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property laws.

  • You may read, share and quote our profiles, assessments and articles for non-commercial purposes, provided you credit Trading Trust Index and link to the page you quote.
  • Journalists, researchers and educators may quote our work with the same credit and link. Please quote scores with their review date.
  • You may not copy our database or substantial parts of it, republish our assessments as your own, or use our content commercially without our written permission. Ask us about data access.
  • Firm names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the firms we cover.
  • You are welcome to link to any page of the site, as long as the link is not misleading and does not suggest that we endorse you or a firm.

How firms may refer to their assessment

  • A firm may quote its current score only together with its review date and a link to its live profile.
  • A company holding a current Trading Trust Index verification badge may display it only by using the hosted image and link on its assessment page, and only for the legal entity, office and platform assessed. It may not alter the badge, copy it, use it after it lapses, or suggest that other companies in its group were assessed. A badge covers the legal entity, office and platform named in the assessment. It does not mean that other companies in the same group were assessed.
  • No one may state or imply that a firm is approved, endorsed, recommended, certified as safe or guaranteed by Trading Trust Index.
  • We may require any use of our name, scores or badges that misrepresents our work to be corrected or withdrawn.

What you send us

When you use one of our forms, you confirm that what you send is true to the best of your knowledge, that you are entitled to send it, and that it is not unlawful, defamatory, abusive or confidential information you have no right to share. You allow us, free of charge, to use it for our research and to handle your request. We do not publish complaints or the personal details of the people who write to us; a firm’s response is published only as our right of reply describes. We may decline or delete any submission.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, or to harass anyone;
  • copy or extract content with scrapers, robots or other automated means, or send automated or bulk requests, except for search engines that follow our robots.txt;
  • try to get into parts of the site or our systems you are not allowed to use, test their security, or disrupt them;
  • upload or send anything containing viruses or other harmful code;
  • pretend to be someone else, or send false information to influence our research; or
  • frame our pages or present our content in a way that suggests it is your own or that we endorse you.

We link to regulators, courts, firms and other sources so that you can check our work. We are not responsible for other websites or for anything you do there, including opening an account with a firm. Our links to firms are not affiliate links: they pay us nothing. They let the firm see that the visit came from Trading Trust Index, as our privacy notice explains.

Availability and changes

We provide the site as it is and as available. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including an assessment, at any time, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it, including trading losses, lost profits, lost data or indirect loss. Our disclaimer sets this out in full. The site is free to use: where we are nonetheless liable to you, and the law allows a limit, our total liability for all claims relating to the site is limited to €100. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Misuse of our name, scores or badges

A firm or other business that uses our name, scores, badges or content in breach of these terms must compensate us for the loss and costs, including reasonable legal costs, that its breach causes us.

Complaints about our content

If you believe something we published is wrong, unlawful or infringes your rights, tell us through our contact form, choosing “Legal notice or complaint about our content”, or report an error. Firms can also use our right of reply. We review every such notice promptly and correct what is wrong, as our corrections policy describes.

Ending your access

We may block access to the site, or to our forms, for anyone who breaks these terms, and report unlawful use to the authorities.

General

  • These terms, our disclaimer and our privacy notice are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right at once, we may still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation that takes over the site.
  • We publish in English. If a translation differs, the English text applies.
  • We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the last change; the terms in force when you use the site apply.

Law and courts

These terms, and any dispute about them or about the site, are governed by the law of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
