About Trading Trust Index

Trading Trust Index helps people investigate the firms they may trust with their trading funds, starting with forex and CFD brokers.

Why we exist

Choosing a broker means handing your money to a company you probably cannot see into. Comparison sites are usually paid by the brokers they rank, and regulators’ registers answer narrow questions in different ways in every country. It is hard to find a single, independent place that shows what can actually be verified about a firm, and what cannot.

We built Trading Trust Index to be that place: a research publication that checks firms against primary records, shows its evidence, says plainly when the evidence is not enough, and is careful about the difference between an allegation and a finding.

What we do

  • Keep a directory of firms, with the legal entities behind each brand and their licences checked against regulators’ registers.
  • Record dated findings, such as regulator warnings and enforcement actions, each labelled for what it is and sourced.
  • Publish trust assessments under a published, versioned methodology, with a separate confidence level.
  • Visit companies that commission our on-site verification, test their platforms over 30 days, and publish what we checked, what we observed and what we could not verify.
  • Publish guides, explainers and investigations, with every factual claim about regulation sourced.
  • Publish firms’ responses, and log every correction.

What we do not do

  • We do not recommend firms, give investment advice or tell you whether to trade.
  • We do not take payment for listings, scores or the removal of findings. Companies can commission an on-site verification assessment: they pay for the work, and any trust points come only from what we verify in person.
  • We do not imply that every listed company has been visited or tested. Most profiles are research-based assessments.
  • We are not a regulator, an ombudsman or a law firm, and we cannot resolve disputes or recover money.
  • We never ask readers for money, offer to recover lost funds, or contact people to recommend a broker. Anyone doing so in our name is not us: see scams and impersonation.
  • We do not call firms scams. We report what records show, and label it precisely.

Who we are

Trading Trust Index is an independent research publication based in Cyprus. What we publish is the responsibility of the Trading Trust Index editorial team, which researches, reviews and corrects it under our editorial standards.

How we are funded

Trading Trust Index is privately funded. The only money we receive from the firms we cover is the fee a company pays for an on-site verification assessment, which never buys a listing, a score or a favourable finding.

No one who owns or runs Trading Trust Index has a stake in, works for or is paid by a broker or an affiliate business, and we do not earn commission when you open an account with a firm.

Companies can commission the TTI On-Site Verification & 30-Day Platform Review. The company pays for the assessment process and reporting. Payment does not guarantee badge approval, a favourable review, or a higher trust score. Company-funded assessments are disclosed in the published report. How verification works.

In future we may offer research subscriptions, access to our data, or clearly labelled advertising. None of these will ever be a condition of appearing in the directory, and none can influence an assessment. The rules are in our editorial standards.
