Assessment summary

eToro is owned by a Nasdaq-listed parent and we matched six of its seven trading and fund companies on official registers in the UK, Cyprus, Australia, Singapore and Seychelles. It publishes detailed terms, fees, complaint procedures and regulatory disclosures, and explains the compensation schemes that apply to UK and EU clients. The UK ombudsman’s data shows eToro UK’s complaints are upheld less often than average. Two regulatory matters weigh on the record: the SEC’s 2024 settlement with eToro USA over unregistered crypto activity, and ASIC’s continuing court case alleging that eToro AUS’s CFD target market was far too broad, which is undecided and not counted in the score. eToro is also on the Reserve Bank of India’s alert list. The banks holding client money are not named.
