Equiti is a forex and CFD brand of Equiti Group Ltd, a Jersey company whose UK subsidiary’s accounts name A R Waleed Al Bitar as ultimate controlling party. Retail clients deal with Equiti Brokerage (Seychelles) Limited (FSA Seychelles), Equiti Group Limited (Jordan) (Jordan Securities Commission) or Equiti Securities Currencies Brokers LLC in Dubai (UAE Capital Market Authority), depending on where they live. Equiti Capital UK Limited (FCA) and Equiti Global Markets Ltd in Cyprus (CySEC) serve professional clients only, and Equiti AM CJSC is licensed by the Central Bank of Armenia. The group’s Kenyan company trades under the separate FXPesa brand.
Research-based assessment This profile has not completed TTI’s on-site verification and 30-day platform review. How TTI verification works
Each licence was matched on the regulator’s own register on the date shown. Unverified claims are listed under Regulation and legal entities.
Assessment summary
Every Equiti company we found matches its regulator’s records: the Seychelles, Jordanian and UAE companies that serve retail clients, the UK and Cyprus companies that serve professional clients only, and the Armenian investment company. The UK company files audited accounts that name A R Waleed Al Bitar as ultimate controlling party through Equiti Group Ltd of Jersey. Retail protections are thin: the terms of all three retail companies make clients pay any losses beyond their deposits, let client money be held by brokers as collateral, name no compensation scheme and offer only a complaint to the regulator, and the Seychelles company offers leverage of up to 1:2000. Costs, funding and execution terms are published. We found no regulatory action against Equiti; the UK accounts disclose lawsuits by investors in a former client, Blue Isle Markets, which Equiti is defending.

Corporate transparency and ownership 13% of score 93 out of 100
Whether you can find out who owns and runs the firm.
The Seychelles, Jordanian, UAE, UK and Cyprus sites give each company’s full name, registration number and registered address. We could not read the Armenian company’s site.
The UK company’s audited accounts say it is wholly owned by Equiti Group Ltd of Jersey and that A R Waleed Al Bitar is the ultimate controlling party through his majority shareholding; Companies House registers Abdulraouf Al Bitar as having significant influence or control.
Equiti lists the group’s regulated companies and its history, and the UK accounts name the Jersey parent and the group companies it deals with, but we found no description of how the Seychelles, Jordanian, UAE and Armenian companies are owned, and their GLEIF records name no parent.
Companies House lists the UK company’s directors, the UAE register names the Dubai company’s directors and accredited staff, the JSC directory lists the Jordanian company’s managers and the Central Bank of Armenia names the Armenian company’s acting director.
The UK company files audited accounts, most recently for 2025 with an unqualified opinion from Grant Thornton, and publishes its IFPR disclosures. We found no financial statements for the Seychelles, Jordanian and UAE companies that serve retail clients.
Criteria and their weighting are explained in the methodology.
Client fund protections and disclosed safeguards 13% of score 38 out of 100
What protects client money if something goes wrong.
Equiti says client money is held in segregated accounts, and the terms of the Seychelles, Jordanian and UAE companies place it in client bank accounts under the regulators’ rules, but all three let third parties such as intermediate brokers hold client money as collateral. The UK company holds client money in segregated trust accounts.

Costs are disclosed before account opening 16222829
Equiti publishes average spreads, the Premier commission of US$3.5 per lot per side, current swap rates and funding fees. The terms let it add costs and fees to currency conversions without stating them.
The Seychelles policy explains the execution factors and says orders pass straight through to a liquidity provider; the UAE policy says the Dubai company is principal and counterparty to CFD trades.

The Seychelles, Jordanian and UAE client terms can be read without an account.
The accounts page gives maximum leverage of 1:2000 (500:1 while a bonus is active) and the terms set a margin call at 100% of margin, but the stop-out level is left to the company to set from time to time.
Every site carries a risk warning that leveraged products can cause losses exceeding the initial investment, and none of the retail companies’ regulators requires the share of losing accounts.
Criteria and their weighting are explained in the methodology.
Public disclosures and communication 4% of score 75 out of 100
Whether public claims hold up and the firm communicates openly.
Partly met
Marketing claims are accurate and attributable 81622
Awards are attributed to named organisations and dates and the regulatory claims match the registers, but the funding page says client money “will never be used for any other means” and the about page that it is fully segregated, while the terms let brokers hold client money as collateral and let Equiti keep interest earned on it.
Partly met
An address and working contact channels are published 1237151619
Addresses, emails, a telephone number and chat are published and the Jordanian and UAE addresses match the registers, but the Seychelles terms give a Mont Fleuri address while the site and the FSA give Eden Island, and the UK regulation page gives a former London office.
Documents are dated and material changes to the terms need five business days’ notice, but other amendments take effect on publication, and the UAE licence certificate on the site still shows the derivatives licence valid only to the end of 2025.

Investors in Blue Isle Markets sue Equiti Capital UK and Equiti AM to recover the scheme’s deposits 20
· District Court of Colorado; High Court of England and Wales · United States · Last checked 7 Oct 2026
Equiti Capital UK’s accounts for 2025 disclose two claims filed in 2024 over Blue Isle Markets Inc, a former client: a derivative claim in the District Court of Colorado against Equiti Capital UK and Equiti AM CJSC seeking recovery of all sums Blue Isle deposited with them, and a claim in the High Court in England by individual investors seeking the value of their investments with Blue Isle. Equiti says it had no direct relationship with the investors, denies the allegations and is defending both claims; no trial is expected before mid-2027 and no provision has been made. The accounts give the year only; we use 1 January 2024. This is recorded for context and does not affect the score.
