easyMarkets, called Easy Forex until 2016, is a forex and CFD broker run from Limassol and owned by Blue Capital Markets Limited of Cyprus. EU clients deal with Easy Forex Trading Ltd (CySEC), Australian clients with easyMarkets Pty Ltd (ASIC) and international clients with EF Worldwide Ltd, a British Virgin Islands company (FSC) with a sister company of the same name in the Seychelles (FSA). EF Worldwide (Pty) Ltd introduces South African clients (FSCA).
Research-based assessment This profile has not completed TTI’s on-site verification and 30-day platform review. How TTI verification works
Each licence was matched on the regulator’s own register on the date shown. Unverified claims are listed under Regulation and legal entities.
Assessment summary
easyMarkets’ licences in Cyprus, Australia, the Seychelles, South Africa and the British Virgin Islands match their regulators’ records; we read the British Virgin Islands entry from an archived copy because the regulator’s site refuses our requests. Every company that deals with clients publishes its agreement, holds client money in segregated or trust accounts and offers negative balance protection. EU clients also have the Investor Compensation Fund and the Cyprus ombudsman and Australian clients AFCA, while clients of the British Virgin Islands and Seychelles companies have no compensation scheme and can only complain to the regulator. The Cyprus parent, Blue Capital Markets Limited, owns the companies, but the people who own it are not named. The website says fixed spreads never change whatever the market conditions, while the EU agreement allows them to widen when liquidity is low, and the agreements can be changed without prior notice. The regulatory record shows alert-list entries in India, Malaysia and Japan.
Key positives
Client-facing entities appear on the regulator’s register 123456
We matched every company easyMarkets names on its regulator’s register: Easy Forex Trading Ltd on CySEC’s register, easyMarkets Pty Ltd in ASIC’s licensee data, EF Worldwide Ltd on the Seychelles FSA’s list, EF Worldwide (Pty) Ltd on the FSCA’s FSP search and EF Worldwide Ltd on the BVI FSC’s list, the last from an archived copy of January 2026.
Clients can tell which regulated entity serves them 7891011121314
Each regional site names the company that serves its clients and its licence, the sign-up form says which company an account will be opened with, and each agreement names the contracting company and its regulator.
The EU, British Virgin Islands and Seychelles agreements keep client money in segregated client bank accounts, and the Australian company holds it in a client trust account under the Corporations Act.
CySEC authorises the Cyprus company to deal on own account and execute orders in CFDs and other derivatives, ASIC authorises the Australian company to deal in and make a market for derivatives and foreign exchange contracts for retail clients, the BVI FSC lists EF Worldwide Ltd as dealing as principal and the FSA lists its Seychelles namesake as a securities dealer. The South African company is authorised only as an intermediary, which is how it describes its role.
All five licences are shown as current, with no suspension or restriction; the BVI entry was current when it was archived in January 2026.

GLEIF records that Blue Capital Markets is owned by natural persons, but we found no disclosure or registry record naming them.
easyMarkets explains which company serves which clients and that they belong to the Blue Capital Markets group; the Australian disclosure statement and the execution policies explain that the parent prices and hedges client trades, and GLEIF records the parent and subsidiaries.

In June 2011 Globes and Finance Magnates reported that the Israel Police fraud unit was investigating Easy Forex Ltd, then the name of the easyMarkets brand, after a customer complained in August 2010 that he had been misled about the chances of profit while the company gained from customers’ losses; five customers had also filed a NIS 500 million claim with a request to certify it as a class action. Easy Forex denied wrongdoing. We found no official record of the investigation or of its outcome, so this rests on press reports and does not affect the score.
